Jacks are very simple tools both in terms of usage and structural features. They are tools used to lift loads that are too heavy for human beings to handle with physical strength. However, the jacks have developed over time and different types of jacks have been produced for different purposes, and there are varieties such as hydraulic jack, bottle jack, gearbox jack, trolley ground jack and alligator jack.

Alligator jacks, one of the most widely used types of jacks mentioned, are included in the group of trolley jacks and have rotating rear bearings that can be directed to events and an automatic safety system against overload. In addition, thanks to the side plates, it provides a stable and stable working opportunity against height. It is suitable for all standard vehicles with low height. It has great ease of use for vehicle repair shops and vehicle services in general. 

Alligator jacks are equipment that should be regularly maintained for the safety of employees and the workplace, since they work with the hydraulic system and pressure principle and lift very heavy loads. It comes from the principles of the Occupational Health and Safety Law and the Regulation on Health and Safety Conditions in the Use of Work Equipment. All kinds of health and safety precautions must be taken for the work tools and equipment used in the workplaces and the minimum conditions to be followed are included in these legal regulations.

According to the regulation, jacks, which are in the category of lifting and conveying equipment, must be periodically inspected and inspected at least once a year, unless another period is stipulated in the relevant standards. There are many organizations and laboratories that conduct tests and inspections of lifting and conveying vehicles. However, for this job, organizations that are accredited, that is, authorized by national or international accreditation bodies, should be preferred.

People who will perform test and inspection operations in such equipment must be mechanical engineers, mechanical technicians or high technicians. If these points are not taken into consideration for the jacks in the lifting and conveying equipment category, neither the inspections and controls to be made nor the reports they will issue are deemed valid. Otherwise, these reports, which are sought in official inspections by the Ministry of Labor, do not have any value.
