All exposed conductive parts of the machines, which are protected jointly with the same protection scheme, must be connected to a common grounding together with the protection conductors. If more than one protection scheme is used in series, this requirement applies separately to all exposed conductive parts protected by each scheme. 

Neutral points of the machines or if this is not available, one phase conductor of each generator or transformer center must be earthed. In addition, it is necessary to test, measure and check the connection continuity of the protection conductors of the machines, the main and complementary potential equalization conductors.
