Boilers and Pressure Vessels Inspection

Boilers and Pressure Vessels Inspection

As is known, the container is designed and manufactured to fill fluid into the container. A container may comprise more than one chamber. The so-called pressure vessel is called a container and equipment with an internal pressure greater than the 0.5 bar. They are pressure vessels which are used very much in industry and are very dangerous. If used improperly, it creates a bomb effect and poses a great danger to employees and the environment.

Pressure vessels are devices which are prepared to bring the fluid they contain to the desired temperature and / or pressure. Pressure vessels, Heating Boiler, Steam Boiler, Hot Oil Boiler, Autoclave, Compressor, Air Tank, Booster etc. as we are.

The devices used to bring the temperature, pressure and similar values of a liquid which is filled into the desired limits for the process is called a boiler. The most commonly used types of boilers are: hot water boilers, central heating boilers, hot water boilers, steam boilers, hot oil boilers, high and medium pressure boilers, low pressure steam boilers, steam generators.

As these equipment work as a result of the pressure compression principle, failure to perform regular checks or not performed properly, usage of the users in accordance with the instructions for use, daily maintenance, failure of the manufacturers to comply with legal regulations and many other reasons cause danger during use.

These devices deform themselves as they are used in the form of any other machine and container. Said boilers and pressure vessels undergo corrosion as they are used. There may be openings or cracks at the joints and welds. These may not be visible, but if they continue to be used in this way, there is a risk of explosion.

The Regulation on Health and Safety Conditions in the Use of Work Equipment, which was issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security on the basis of the Occupational Health and Safety Law, determined the minimum requirements for health and safety during the use of work equipment in workplaces. According to the types of machines used in the workplaces, it is explained in this regulation which period and the criteria and standards of these periodical controls will be controlled.

When inspections of boilers and pressure vessels are carried out by inspection and test institutions, the criteria of CE-PR.029 Inspection Services Presentation Procedure prepared in accordance with the Health and Safety Conditions in the Use of Work Equipment are taken as the basis. In the examinations, if any errors are detected, it is determined whether the pressure vessels work safely and are suitable for use. This creates a safer working environment in the workplace.

If no other period is stipulated in the Regulation on Health and Safety in the Use of Work Equipment and the relevant standards, boilers and pressure receptacles must be checked at least once a year. According to legal regulations, employers will be responsible for the consequences of an unexpected accident.
