What are the required documents for ISO TS 16949 Certificate Application

Assessing your compliance with the ISO / TS 16949 standard means you can demonstrate your commitment to meeting the requirements of this standard as well as to the demands of your customers. It also helps to improve the quality and economic performance of your organization.

ISO / TS 16949: The 2009 standard (formerly ISO / TS 16949: 2002) is a worldwide standard developed by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF), which is composed of the world's leading manufacturers and commercial institutions. It is a quality management system (QMS) that specifies requirements for design, development, production and, where necessary, assembly and service of automotive-related products.

ISO / TS 16949 combines various regional and national automotive standards such as AVSQ (Italy), EAQF (France), VDA6 (Germany) and QS-9000 (USA) and ISO 9001's quality management principles under a single standard.

The following documents must be prepared during the application:

Automotive Quality Management System Handbook. The manual outlines why the company applies the ISO TS 16949 standard, what its purpose is, how the standard is applied and how it is audited.

Automotive Quality Management System Policies. These policies are the company policies determined by the top management of the company in the areas of production, quality control, scratching of customer complaints, customer satisfaction and so on.

Business processes and application instructions. Work flow charts for all works performed in the company, documents explaining application procedures and control points.
Task Definitions. These are documents that show the authority and responsibility of the employees, job descriptions, who they work for and the employees who are connected to them.
Forms, tables, charts. These are all forms, tables, charts and similar documents that have been implemented to ensure that the system works in a healthy and systematic way.

These documents should be delivered to the certification body as a set or opened for inspection in a magnetic environment within easy reach of the auditors. Before the field audit commences, the certification body shall carry out the preliminary assessment on these documents and then initiate the field inspections.
