GLOBALGAP Documents

GLOBALGAP General Regulations

The general regulations document describes the basic steps for manufacturers wishing to obtain a GLOBALGAP Certificate and defines the conditions that manufacturers must have. It also identifies relationships and roles with certification bodies and manufacturers.

The general regulations document consists of five different sections:

Part one: General information
It is the basic document and explains what GLOBALGAP is. It therefore includes important information for GLOBALGAP-related groups. The functioning of certification activities, certification rules, training activities and similar issues are explained in this section. Producers should read and understand this section.

Part two: Certification body rules
This section provides guidance on how to inspect and certify producer organizations. It covers important information about the certification body and its activities. It also provides information about accreditation bodies.

Part three: Manufacturer group certification
This section describes what the producer group means and how it should act. Therefore, all producer groups are very important information for both certification bodies and accreditation bodies.

Part four: Benchmarking
This section describes the GLOBALGAP Document for scopes that are technically equivalent to GLOBALGAP. The issue of benchmarking is an issue that all certification bodies and accreditation bodies should deal with.

Section five: Education Regulation
This section describes the requirements, application methods and approval of trainers for all members who wish to become a GLOBALGAP approved trainer or have previously been certified trainer.

GLOBALGAP Control Points and Compliance Criteria

This document covers the control points and eligibility criteria that must be followed by all the manufacturers that request GLOBALGAP Certificate. In this document, control points and compliance criteria as well as the required degree of compliance at each point are shown. These degrees may be in the form of major obligation, minor obligation or recommendation.

GLOBALGAP Checklists

The checklists are capable of responding to the control points in the document described above and are prepared on the basis of modules. There are three basic checklists:
Checklist for the control of manufacturers covering all control points
Checklist used when auditing the Quality Management System of the producer group
Benchmarking checklist
