Grounding Inspection

Grounding Inspection

In simple terms, it is a method of connecting the bodies of all kinds of electrical devices to the grounding system buried in the ground with a conductor against any leakage hazard. If an unfavorable situation occurs and electrical leakage occurs, the electric current passes through the ground line with less resistance and the danger of shock is eliminated.

In addition to being a simple system, grounding is a very important and essential method in terms of life and property safety. There are different types of earthing protection such as grounding, operational grounding, lightning earthing, function grounding.

Grounding electrodes, conductors and fittings are used in the construction of grounding facilities. In accordance with the Toprak Grounding in Electrical Installations Regulation yayınlan published by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, strip, profile (angle iron), plate and braided conductive grounding elements are produced.

In terms of grounding, there are many legal regulations such as Grounding Regulations in Electrical Installations, Regulation on Electrical High Current Installations, Regulation on Electrical Internal Installations, and according to these regulations, there are recommended control periods for the inspection, measurement and inspection of grounding facilities. These periods may be 6 months in some facilities and 5 years in others.

Grounding checks of the facilities and the equipment within the facilities are carried out by authorized and expert personnel and a report is prepared as a result of the inspections and tests. These grounding reports are requested for the Inspections of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Municipalities and other special purposes within the scope of TSE Service Place Qualification Certificate or Occupational Health and Safety Regulation.

According to the Regulation on Health and Safety in the Use of Work Equipment issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security on the basis of the Occupational Health and Safety Law, a grounding examination should be carried out at least once a year if no other period is stipulated in the relevant standards.
