Noise and Vibration Controls Inspection

Noise and Vibration Controls Inspection

Noise is one of the common problems of workplaces in almost every business line, from metal to textile, from mine to construction, and changes the quality of work by reducing or destroying the pleasantness and calmness of the environment, which negatively affects people's hearing health and sensation, disrupts physiological and psychological balance, reduces productivity, efficiency and environment. noise is an important environmental pollutant consisting of unwanted sounds with a random spectrum.

Environmental vibration is the mechanical oscillatory movements that are usually emitted in solid, liquid and gaseous environments that occur during activities in volumes that are used in mines and quarries, transportation vehicles, industrial and construction machinery and similar processes and that are used for other purposes outside of the area of use.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Security issued a Regulation on the Protection of Employees from Vibration Risks in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331 and the European Parliament and Council Directive 2002 / 44 / EC. This regulation specifies the minimum requirements for the protection of employees from health and safety risks arising from mechanical vibration.

In addition, in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331 and the European Parliament and Council Directive 2003 / 10 / EC, the same ministry issued a Regulation on the Protection of Employees from Noise-Related Risks. This regulation also identifies the minimum requirements for the protection of employees from health and safety risks, particularly hearing loss due to high noise.
In accordance with the provisions of both regulations, it is necessary to measure and control the level of mechanical vibration and noise to which employees are exposed to prevent mechanical vibrations and high noise and to prevent health and safety risks.

All measurements and tests should be carried out with an expert staff. These measurements and controls should be done at least once a year. This obligation is expressed in the Regulation on Health and Safety Conditions in the Use of Work Equipment issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

The measurement and evaluation results regarding the exposure level to mechanical vibration and noise using evaluation methods are prepared as a report and delivered to the organization. This report must be kept for future official inspections.
