The construction machine that lifts heavy materials and loads that cannot be moved by walking from one place to another by people with their power and loads them into containers, trucks or shelves by lifting them with two fork paths in the front, or in the same way, takes the loads from the shelf or trucks. 

Generally used to transport or stack loads loaded on pallets. The user of the forklifts is called the forklift operator. In order to use the forklift, the persons who have undergone adequate training must be experienced operators and have the certificate of forklift operator certificate.

It is an indispensable tool with its very fast and agile mobility. Since they carry heavy loads, regular checks of forklifts are required. They can lift up to 90 tons. Models used in open areas can be diesel engine or gasoline engine. In closed areas, there are mostly electric motor battery-powered models.

According to the relevant Occupational Health and Safety Law, it is a legal obligation to carry out regular checks against a possible accident risk. In the event of an accident, the first point to check is whether the truck has been checked regularly. Otherwise, the business owner will be held responsible.

The responsibility of rental forklifts belongs to the lessor. Most forklifts are used for rent because they are expensive. This company has to carry out regular inspections of the truck. 

The forklifts evaluated in the category of lifting and conveying equipment should be periodically maintained and received a physical inspection report at least once a year. Forklift users must be certified and only certified personnel should be used.

Periodic inspection and control of forklifts is of great importance for plant safety. In accordance with the Regulation on Health and Safety in the Use of Work Equipment, inspection and controls have been made compulsory at least once a year. Also, records should be kept within the scope of the Regulation on Health and Safety Measures to be Taken in Workplace Buildings and Attachments.

In the Regulation on Health and Safety Conditions in the Use of Work Equipment, issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the control periods according to the types of machines, the criteria to be taken into consideration during the periodic checks and related standards are explained.
