The latest update of the TS ISO / IEC 17011 standard was published by the Turkish Standards Institute in March of the year 2018 (TS ISO / IEC 17011 Conformity assessment - the standard of requirements for accrediting bodies accrediting conformity assessment bodies).
This standard regulates the requirements of accrediting bodies for inspection and conformity assessment bodies. The revision studies carried out by the Conformity Assessment Committee operating within the International Standards Organization (ISO) were completed in 2017.

The structure of the standard is designed to be in line with other standards published by the Conformity Assessment Committee. In addition, parallels have been established regarding confidentiality, impartiality, complaints and objections and the management system.
The scope of the standard includes some new concepts, such as the accreditation program, flexible accreditation, and remote auditing.
Risk and risk-based control concepts are added to the standard.
A number of International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and International Laboratory Accreditation Association (ILAC) criteria are covered by the standard. The concept also includes the concept of competence criteria. At the same time, a table of skills and competencies has been added for each compliance and certification function to the standard.
