RoHS Certificate

What is RoHS System

Most electronic products use elements and chemicals that will harm the environment and human health. RoHS is a system approved by the EU and many countries in the world, which gives directives on the determination of the maximum amount of these elements, or if they are not required at all, for which most of the elements have to be used in order for the products to function.

Unrestricted and uncontrolled use of these elements results in extremely distressing consequences for both human health and the environment in the medium and long term. Therefore, the Council of Europe has recently issued restrictive directives on this issue. This situation is more common especially during the production of electrical and electronic devices. In this case, the Council of Europe has found it appropriate to use these elements and chemicals, at least within the maximum limits.

All RoHS certified companies have undergone testing and analysis by an accredited laboratory. Accurate assessment of RoHS compliance within the scope of product testing, analysis and validation provides legal security to manufacturers and strengthens their image and recognition in the market.

Harmful elements, which are widely used in electronic products such as lead cadmium plus 6-precious chromium, are evaluated by testing and analysis in the laboratory. Test methods may differ depending on the product structure. In general, the following methods are used in these tests: XRF Mapping, XRF Screening, Wet Chemical Analysis, Modular Rosh concept for retailers and importer and RoHS certification program for homogeneous materials and components. By using one of these methods, it is determined whether there are harmful substances in the products and how much, if any, and a compliance event is given for the RoHS Certificate.

Lead is one of the most harmful and used metals. It can enter the body through respiration or digestion and cause health problems. The use of lead has decreased significantly after the RoHS directive. Mercury, another element that can be extremely harmful, has also decreased significantly after these directives.

In short, RoHS directives are extremely important for human health and the environment. In addition, the directive also addresses recycling issues. The RoHS Certificate is a complete security document. With the RoHS directive, restrictions have been placed on the use of substances in electrical and electronic vehicles that pose a danger to human health and the environment. With this feature, the RoHS directive plays a very important role in world trade.
