RoHS Certificate

What are the documents required for RoHS Certificate Application

Nowadays, with the awareness of the consumer, all companies that manufacture regardless of the sector have adopted the subject of production sensitive to the environment and human health as their primary principle. Different elements are used in many products used in daily life. Some of these have negative effects on both human health and the environment.

For example, many products such as television controls, batteries, batteries, televisions, radios, which are used by almost everyone in the daily life, contain dangerous elements. These products are used almost daily in human life. In addition, many toys contain these elements.

Cadmium, lead, mercury, chromium (+ 6 valued), polybromide biphenyl and polybromide biphenyl ether are the elements in the content of these devices and have negative effects on both the environment and human health.

Even if it was late, the EU council realized the big problem here and issued a directive about 15 years ago that would restrict the use of these elements. RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive) is a directive that restricts the use of harmful substances and prevents their harm. With the RoHS directive, it is aimed to control the manufacturer companies.

A few years later, a regulation based on the RoHS directive has been published in our country, Yönetmelik Regulation on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment ". The use of some of the harmful substances in this regulation is strictly prohibited and others are restricted.

Technically, all that is required for RoHS certification is to agree with an accredited certification body and complete the certification application form completely and deliver it to the organization. However, there are some things that the company needs to do before and after.

First, the technical file should be prepared. Then, the products produced by the firm are examined in accredited laboratories. If the prohibited substances are not found in the product after the necessary tests have been carried out or the use is within the specified limits, the manufacturer shall be entitled to obtain the RoHS Certificate. The results of the studies to be performed in the laboratories are put into the technical file and an application is made to a certification institution.

Then, the accredited and applied certification body initiates the study on the technical file containing the laboratory analyzes and evaluates the compliance of RoHS directive (ie EEE Regulation) of the test and analysis results arranged in the laboratories. If the company is convinced that it deserves to receive a certificate, a RoHS Certificate is issued.
